What makes us different?
Marine Collagen and the richness of Amino Acids
The Collagen used in Collmar comes from fish. A recent study (J Agric Food Chem 55(4) 1532-1535 (2007)) has shown that Marine Collagen is more easily assimilated than other sources of collagen such as porcine. Collmar has a high percentage of Glycine, Proline and Hydroxyproline, which are the major Amino Acids in Collagen and Essential Amino Acids.
Enzymatically Hydrolyzed
The Collagen used has undergone a unique process of breaking it down into smaller molecules, called peptides, to make it more easily assimilated by the body. This process has been carried out by Enzymatic Hydrolysis. In this way, we are able to break down the Collagen, facilitating its absorption.
Standardized Extracts
Another important advantage in our formulation is the use of standardized extracts. This means that the plants used always provide a known and constant amount of Organic Silicon. In our case, Silicon is obtained from a Dry Bamboo Extract, with 75% Silicon, meaning that 40 mg of Extract provides 30 mg of Silicon.
