Dalwhinnie 15 years, a whiskey made in the distillery located at the highest altitude and in the coldest environment in Scotland, uses pure water from a lake at approximately 600 meters above sea level. These extreme conditions result in an exceptionally sweet and smooth drink, despite its isolated origin in the Scottish Highlands. This single malt is known for its warmth, smoothness and aromatic richness, and its name, of Gaelic root, means 'meeting place of shepherds and their flocks', reflecting its heritage. It represents an ideal introduction to the world of single malt whiskeys, standing out for its elegance, smoothness and medium body.
It offers light and fruity flavors, with hints of heather, vanilla and a smoky peat nuance at the end. The aroma of Dalwhinnie 15 years is clear and refreshing, with hints of pear, caramel and a light floral aroma. In the mouth, fruity and robust flavors are revealed, with notes of syrup pudding, sponge cake and a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg, finishing with a spicy note that harmonizes the fruity sweetness. Awarded the gold medal at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, this whiskey is enjoyed straight or lightly diluted with water, and has an alcoholic content of 43%
