Domaine Lafarge-Vial Fleurie Clos Vernay is a red wine made from Gamay in Beaujolais by the Lafarge winery.
It is grown on a biodynamic farming estate, on granitic soils, where the vines are more than 50 years old and grow on a slope with a gradient of more than 50%. In the winemaking process, 75% of the grapes are destemmed. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and then the wine is aged for a year in used barrels and a 30-hectolitre foudre. This technique allows the wine to evolve gradually without acquiring too many wood flavours.
It is important to note that this wine comes from one of the best terroirs in Beaujolais and is produced by one of Burgundy's leading producers, which guarantees its quality and excellence.
In the glass, this wine reveals luscious, creamy fruit that delights the palate with its red fruit flavours. The tannins are soft and complex, giving a feeling similar to layers of granite. The wine is remarkable for its length and focus, offering a lingering and deeply satisfying experience. Its development in biodynamically farmed vineyards on granitic soils, together with its ageing in used barrels, has resulted in a wine of distinctive and refined character. A real gem for wine lovers who seek complexity and elegance in every sip.
