This farmhouse goat cheese is a Saône et Loire cheese made from Chèvre and Vache milk with 24% fat.
Flavored and fragrant, Chèvre Mélangé de la Saône et Loire fermier has a chalky texture, but its 100% homemade ripening gives us many possibilities of textures and stages of ripening. By default, we offer a Chèvre Mélangé medium-aged bluish and bearded, but you can specify your requirements when ordering. Subject to availability, we'll send you a Chèvre Mélangé de la Saône et Loire fermier affiné selon vos préférences.
With a tasting period from March to November, this Chèvre Blended from the Saône et Loire will pair perfectly with a wine from the same region. We're thinking of an AOC Mercurey on the red side, or an AOC Montagny on the white. A very fruity, tangy wine like Pouilly-Fuissé blanc will also bring out the best in this farmhouse cheese.
