Fondillón Pago Francisco Gómez Solera 1988
Fondillón is a generous wine, unique in the world, due to its production process and its extraordinary and peculiar personality. It is a historic wine dating back to the early 13th century, being the first wine with its own name, exclusively consumed by kings and great figures in history. It also traveled on the first expeditions around the world, such as those of Juan Sebastián Elcano.
Fondillón from Alicante is included among the Five Luxury Wines declared by the EU. Undoubtedly, it is an oenological gem to be enjoyed on a special occasion.
This Fondillón Pago Francisco Gómez Solera 1988 is only made in exceptional quality harvests from overripe grapes in the Monastrell variety vineyard, a native variety of Alicante. These are very old vineyards caressed by the warm airs of the Mediterranean Sea and aged for over 30 years using the traditional solera system.
This great generous wine from Alicante is characterized by its high alcohol content, resulting from the sugar present in the overripe grapes on the vine. It is completely natural, without added sugars.
