Goliardo a Telleira Blanco is a white wine made from Albariño in the D.O. Rías Baixas by the Bodega Forjas de Salnés.
Goliardo A Telleira is a single vineyard Albariño wine with 60 to 80 year old vines planted by the sea, which is reflected in the delicious character of the wine. After barrel ageing, the wine is bottled and immersed in cages 30 metres deep in the waters of the Arous estuary for 2-3 months. Something out of the ordinary that definitely makes it a very unique wine.
Production is very limited.
White fruits predominate on the nose. Sweet fruit and some citrus with woody notes and an attractive mineral background. Unctuous, oily and with a lot of acidity.
On the palate the minerality returns, with pleasant salty hints and a touch of bitterness. Pleasant finish with minerality.
An excellent Albariño wine with a curious ageing method.
