Producer: le Rucher du Marandou (24)
A dark, almost black colored forest honey. It crystallizes slowly and is harvested mainly in August.
A honey with a woody, fragrant taste. It will appeal to those looking for a honey with character.
Le Rucher du Marandou is located in St Avit de Vialard in the heart of the Dordogne and Périgord (24). Benoît Serre, its creator, is a passionate and exciting beekeeper who produces 100% natural and artisanal honey. While the story begins with the desire to save the few hives of his grandfather, Benoît now has 140 hives located in 10 different places. The honey is extracted cold, so not heated, to preserve all its taste and nutritional qualities.
