La Vicalanda Viñas Viejas is a red wine from Rioja made by Bodegas Bilbaínas with 100% Tempranillo grapes.
This wine is the maximum expression of the "terroir" of one of the most privileged areas of the Rioja D.O.C., Haro.
It undergoes malolactic fermentation in 50% new French Allier oak barrels, where it ages for a minimum of 12 months. It then rests in the bottle for a further 24 months.
APPEARANCE: Intense garnet with purple hues.
NOSE: Elegant and intense, with deep aromas of black fruits, violets and smoked with a balsamic and mineral background.
MOUTH: Very fleshy, powerful and structured wine, with a velvety entry and a very balanced palate. Full-bodied and persistent.
