Luxardo Apricot is a liqueur produced by the Luxardo family since 1935, when the city of Rome organised a competition among Italian liqueur producers in search of a new liqueur to represent the capital city.
Luxardo Apricot won first prize and was awarded the title "Liquore della Lupa" (Liqueur of the Roman Wolf), now its registered trademark. Obtained by infusing the pulp of apricots in beetroot alcohol, Luxardo Apricot has a very rich flavour with mild cinnamon spice and a light almond finish. Brilliantly suited for use in cocktails, it can also be enjoyed neat or on the rocks as an after-dinner drink.
