The Italian vermouth Martini has moved into the nonalcoholic category with the launch of two nonalcoholic appetizers. The Bacardi-owned brand has launched the Alcohol-Free Vibrant Martini and Alcohol-Free Floreale to meet the demand for non-alcoholic options.
Martini Vibrante sin Alcohol is made with Italian bergamot to create a "characteristic fruity aperitif of Martini", while Floreale is inspired by the "delicate sweetness of Roman chamomile" to provide a "floral tasting experience".
Ivano Tonutti, Martini's master herbalist, added: "As pioneers of non-alcoholic vermouth almost 100 years ago, we have leveraged our expertise to revitalize the aperitif with our distinctive Italian style. With Martini Vibrante sin alcohol and Martini Floreale sin alcohol, we wanted to create deliciously complex drinks that retained the very essence of our vermouths."
It is recommended that Martini non-alcoholic offerings be served with 75ml of tonic water and garnished with an orange wheel. It can also be served neat in a 75ml measure over ice.
