Barceló wine comes from the María Cota site, on the hill of Moncerbal. Old vines, overlooking the Burbia River and the morning sun, nestled in a calcareous plot in the middle of a sea of acid soils, the result of the degradation of metamorphic rock from the Lower Precambrian. This quality gives the wine a remarkable distinction for its lightness, rounded in turn by the friendliness of the Mencía variety.
