Illa de Mel is born out of a passion for bees and the need to make their world known. We produce a small production of high-quality honey. Both the work in the beehives and the production and packaging are done in a traditional way, always striving to be as respectful as possible to the well-being of the bees. On the other hand, we make efforts to ensure that our bees and other pollinators have available flowers: we sow chamomile and clover. This also has an impact on diversified production and the protection of native species, ultimately adding value to our product and our production process.

This is an activity that is not only sustainable, but also brings benefits to nearby ecosystems and keeps alive a tradition as old as beekeeping in Menorca.

Illa de Mel has been awarded as the best multifloral honey in Spain in the Mieladictos 2022 honey tasting competition and the overall winner of the World Food Gift Challenge 2023.
