Absolut Vodka is a Swedish vodka of 40.0% Lac./vol., obtained by a process of distillation of wheat grain alcohol called rectification.

It began to be produced in 1879 in the Swedish town of Åhus by Lars Olson Smith, with the name of Absolut Rent Bränvin (vodka absolutely pure), starting to be exported outside its borders in the year 1979, becoming one of the most consumed vodkas in the world , especially in the United States, thanks to Destacadísimas marketing campaigns.
