Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage is unique and original, the personal and free interpretation of the cellar master regarding the singular qualities of the grapes of that vintage.
Dry, ripe and healthy vintages suit pinot noir, the main component of this blend. With 44% pinot noir, you have to go back to 2009 (50%) and 1996 (50%) to find such a high proportion. It also contains 32% Chardonnay and 24% Meunier.
Grand Vintage 2015 is the 76th vintage in the history of Moët & Chandon. It evokes an awakening, the first rays of a day full of promises. It is mature, tender and enveloping. With unexpected freshness for a year that saw the hottest summer since 1961, Grand Vintage 2015 is a story of intense heat and drought, as well as radiant light.
Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage is a bright pale color. Bright lemon yellow, luminous reflections and fine bubbles.
NOSE - A tender and vegetal bouquet:
The nose expresses a soft and fresh white-green universe. Initial notes of breadcrumbs, fresh brioche and almond paste. Notes of elderflower, jasmine. Fruity notes such as white peach and watermelon. Notes of garrigue complete the set.
PALATE - A frank and enveloping palate:
Direct and safe attack. Generous, broad and flexible structure like the cotton flower. Enveloping and caressing texture. Floral, anise and menthol nuances that provide lightness and freshness. The finish persists with a delicate bitterness that evokes fresh almonds.
