Numanthia red wine is the emblematic wine of Bodega Numanthia, made with Toro ink in the D.O. Bull.
The 2008 vintage of this wine was chosen as the Best Red in Spain. In addition, Bodega Numanthia achieved 100 Parker points from "The Wine Advocate" magazine with the Termanthia 2004.
It is an excellent red wine from the D.O. Toro made with the Tinta de Toro grape variety (100%).
Harvest: Exclusively manual with rigorous selection of clusters in perfect state of maturity, between September 25 and October 10.
Aging: 18 months in 225L and 400L French oak barrels -60% new barrel and 40% second-use barrel. Racking every 4 months.
Numanthia wine has a ripe cherry color with ruby reflections.
On the nose, the wine appears elegant, friendly, fresh and deep, with hints of red berries, scrubland, a background of sweet spices and graphite.
On the palate, the entry is expressive, broad, friendly, fresh and sweet. The tannin is serious and ripe, well covered and with a great sensation of volume. Black fruit such as blueberries and currants, vanilla, cinnamon, graphite, nutmeg and hints of rosemary. Good acidity lengthens it and allows this wine to age gracefully over the years.
