Grown in lower Aragon, the empeltre olive stands out for its intense black colour, a consequence of its late harvesting, once it has fully ripened on the tree. Due to its complete ripeness at the time of harvesting, it has a soft texture, with a firm skin, thanks to which the fruit has remained on the tree until it has ripened. In the mouth its intense flavour is appreciated, due to its high oil content and its creamy texture, almost sweet at the end
