Oscar Mestre Renaix la Passió is a young white wine from Alicante produced by Bodegas Riko Xaló with 100% Moscatel de Alejandría grapes.
White Brisado fermented and aged in raw earthenware jars, which gives it that insurrectionary, rebellious and revolutionary character. Sustainable viticulture, grapes selected and harvested by hand in 10kg boxes. Old vines in goblet and strictly unirrigated.
Ferric clay loam soils. The winemaking process begins in the field, with a clean look, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration for five days with the skins and some grape skins.
Fermented in 350L Carles Llarch vats and then aged for 5 months on its fine lees. Spontaneous appearance of "velo flor" in the last month of ageing. Bottled directly from the vat, without fining or stabilisation to preserve its character.
Appearance: Clean straw yellow colour, clear rim with greenish reflections. Possibility of finding tartrates precipitates in the glass.
Nose: Great aromatic potential with aromas of rose petals, dried roses, orange peel, jasmine and orange blossom. It also oozes mineral and sharp notes that give it character and expressiveness.
Palate : It stands out for being a fresh and vertical wine. Palate. The development of the veil of flor adds a touch of umami and salinity.
Pairing: Rice dishes, pâtés, cheeses and seafood.
Serving temperature: Between 9-11 ºC.
Oscar Mestre Insurrecte is a young white wine from the D.O. Alicante produced by Bodegas Riko Xaló with Graciano and Moscatel de Alejandría grapes.
White wine fermented and aged in a raw clay amphora that gives it that insurrectionist, rebellious, and revolutionary character.
Sustainable viticulture, hand-selected and hand-harvested grapes in 10kg boxes. Old vines in goblet shape and strict dry farming. Iron-rich clay-loam soils. The winemaking process begins in the field, made with a clean approach, fermentation with native yeasts, and maceration for five days with the skins and some stems.
Fermented in 350L Carles Llarch amphorae and aged for 5 months on its fine lees. Spontaneous appearance of the flor veil in the last month of aging. Bottled directly from the amphora, without clarification or stabilization to preserve its character.
Appearance: Intense straw yellow color with a clear edge and greenish reflections.
Nose: Great aromatic potential with aromas of rose petals, dried roses, orange peel, jasmine, and orange blossom. Also, it exudes mineral and sharp notes that give it character and expressiveness.
Palate: Stands out for being a fresh and vertical wine. Well-structured and full-bodied thanks to the aging on lees. The development of the flor veil adds a touch of umami and salinity.
Pairing: Perfectly pairs with traditional dishes such as paella, rock fish, or exquisite Denia red prawns. Due to its characteristics, it is also ideal for grilled white meats or even sushi for the more adventurous.
