The Smoked Cheese of Pría is cylindrical in shape, its interior is semi-soft ivory-coloured and the rind is brownish in colour

The taste is very mild and sweet, with caramelized touches very little salt, and with a very nice light smoked, which gives it a very special flavor. This cheese is increasingly valued and known within Asturias and outside it.

Made with pasteurized cow's milk and sheep's butter, it is pressed mass so it is consistent and with few eyes. Pasteurized cow's milk is taken and sheep's cream is added. The mixture is taken and heated up to 30º, at this temperature natural rennet is added. Then the rennet is cut and introduced into the moulds, then it is pressed for 24 hours and introduced into brine. After this process it is left to cure for about two months, where the cheese is smoked with oak and beech wood.

The Smoked Cheese of Pría, has been produced in the Pesa de Pría in the council of Llanes, Asturias, and has its origin in 1938. Today this family business continues to maintain its traditional production method while evolving technically and professionally.
They have been able to maintain at all times the prestige of their products, which has always characterized them since its founding until now.

It comes vacuum packed for better transport and conservation in pieces of about 520 gr.

The cheeses are best kept cold. To enjoy its full flavour we advise to let it acclimatise to room temperature for half an hour before consumption.
