The ecological seeds of peanut squash are sown in early spring with a minimum distance between them of 1m by placing two or three seeds in each hole and through direct sowing, although it can also be planted in seedlings and transplanted later. They prefer fertile soils, deep and with a lot of organic matter. They are harvested when the fruit size reaches a good size approximately 3 months after planting
