Bodegas Hispano Suizas
Quod Superius is the big brother of Bodegas Hispano Suizas, under the D.O. Utiel-Requena.
Quod Superius is the big brother of Bodegas Hispano Suizas, under the D.O. Utiel-Requena. After a selection of the best plots and a first selection of the clusters in the vineyard, the varieties are fermented individually in American and French oak barrels. After 20 months of resting and ageing, the barrels are tasted one by one, and the best ones are selected to prepare the coupage of this precious red wine that will age for a further 10 months in French oak barrels.
Quod Superius has a beautiful deep cherry red colour with violet reflections. Clean and very bright, it has a fine, slow-falling tear.
The nose has a high olfactory intensity. Complex and with a great diversity of nuances, in which sweet and spicy spices predominate over a background of ripe red fruit, well-integrated wood and mineral notes. It is a wine with powerful and elegant aromas that give complexity and distinction to the wine.
On the palate the entry is powerful, with a spectacular load of fruit, the tannin is very polished, and together with the acidity make for a velvety mouthfeel. Aromas of roasted coffee and spices appear in the retronasal passage. A majestic red wine.
