The Ramos Pinto Tawny is a Port wine produced in the Douro region of Portugal, by the Ramos Pinto winery. This wine is a blend of the Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cão grape varieties, with an alcohol content of 19.5%. It has a slightly brownish red color, characteristic of tawnies. On the nose, it combines notes of nuts, figs, and ripe red fruits such as cherries, plums, blackberries, and raspberries. In the mouth, it is light, warm, and very smooth, a result of its aging in wood. This "adolescent" is a mature and fruity Port with a complex and delicate character. Its finish is perfectly balanced, offering a subtle delicacy. This Tawny is a blend of wines with different degrees of maturity, aged between 3 and 5 years in barrels and wooden casks. It is less sweet than Ruby, due to its longer aging time in wood, which gives it greater complexity and smoothness.
