Rocafosca is a red wine from the D.O.Q. Priorat produced by the Costers del Priorat winery with Carignan and Garnacha Tinta.
Rocafosca, the flagship wine of Costers del Priorat, embodies the balance between fruit and minerality, fusing the Carignan and Garnacha varieties in perfect harmony. Coming from the Mas Alsera estates in Torroja and Sant Martí in Bellmunt, this wine reflects the essence of Priorat, from its rugged centre to the warm south of the region.
With artisanal vinification that includes manual selection of grapes and the use of indigenous yeasts, each variety is treated separately to capture its maximum potential. Aging in Slavonian oak foudres and amphorae provides complexity and character.
Colour: Intense cherry red with violet reflections, clean and bright.
Aroma: Deep notes of ripe red and black fruits (plum, blackberry and raspberry), accompanied by spicy touches of black pepper, cocoa and subtle smoky notes. Mineral background with a light balsamic touch.
Taste: Structured and harmonious, with silky and well-integrated tannins. A smooth entry is perceived, with a balanced acidity that highlights its freshness and a persistent finish with hints of vanilla, roasted coffee and licorice.
