This Salanques is a red wine certified with D.O. Priorat. It has been produced by the Mas Doix winery. Salanques is a blend of three different varieties: 65% Garnacha, 25% Cariñena, and 10% Syrah. The grapes used to make this wine come from vineyards planted between 350 and 500 meters above sea level. The harvest was done by hand. Subsequently, fermentation took place at a controlled temperature using the submerged cap system. Finally, the wine underwent a 14-month aging process in brand new barrels and second-year French oak barrels with extra fine grain. It is recommended to pair this incredible red wine with feathered game, small game, stews, roasts, or grilled lamb.
