THE CATURRA AND CATUAI VARIETY OF THIS SPECIALTY COFFEE

This coffee is a 100% organic coffee

This coffee is a blend of three varieties of high quality plants. The pache variety predominates. It is a low yielding plant in terms of quantity of production and very susceptible to pests. It is difficult to cultivate in general, but on the other hand it offers high cup quality and a large bean size. In Peru it finds its ideal altitude above 1400 meters and is a very characteristic variety of the area

Another variety of this coffee is Catuai. It comes from a low plant with green leaves that gives a small fruit but a high quality bean and good size, which is also screened so that we only have in our package the best

It is a cross between the highly productive Mundo Novo and the compact Caturra varieties. The plant is characterized by its low size and its strength and resistance. Catuai is derived from the Guarani multo mother, which means 'very good,' according to World Coffee Research.

And finally it also has beans of the Caturra species. This is a natural mutation of the Bourbon variety, with its origin in Brazil. Plants of smaller size and with better grain were selected at the Agronomic Institute of Sao Paulo in Brazil, from which this new variety was created, which has found in Colombia an ideal climate and soil. Despite this, as we say, the origin of this plant is Brazilian, according to the World Coffee Research.

SPECIALITY COFFEE WITH WASHED PROCESS

/p>

Coffee processing refers to how coffee is processed at origin. It refers to the way in which the coffee bean is extracted from the berry. The process, although there are many types, can mainly be by the dry/natural or washed/wet method

In this case the coffee is harvested manually and has a wet or washed process. This process consists of soaking the berries for a period of time, and then sorting them by a decanting process, and then pulping them.

This will make the beans more resistant to the sun, and the coffee will be more resistant to the sun's rays

This will make the coffee absorb more sweet, floral and citrus touches belonging to the berry and pulp surrounding the bean itself.

PERUVIAN COFFEE

Coffee in Peru accounts for 5% of the total products exported by this country. It is not a large quantity compared to countries such as Colombia, Honduras or Brazil, but nevertheless that does not mean that Peruvian coffee is of lesser quality. It is produced in smaller quantities and results in a more select and different type of coffee. The coffees of Junin stand out above all. The slopes of the Andes and the Peruvian jungle create an ecosystem conducive to the production of high quality coffee
