Its colour is blackish brown and its flesh is compact. It has a peculiar flavor reminiscent of nuts, unlike the black truffle, it is light colored inside, being black also on the outside, with large pyramidal warts.

In the heart of the Lleida Pyrenees, within the small Vall de Lord, we find the village of Sant Llorenç de Morunys.
