Taberner Nº1 Syrah Merlot is a red wine made from 90% Syrah and 10% Merlot from Cádiz by Huerta de Albalá.
The grapes used to make this wine come from their own vineyard and are harvested by hand. In the winery, both the bunches and the berries are selected. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak truncated cone-shaped vats and malolactic fermentation in barrels. It is aged for 24 to 30 months in new "T5" barrels of French Taransaud oak from the Tronçais forest in Allier. This wine has not been subjected to any filtration method.
Appearance: Intense cherry red colour, with tile tones typical of its evolution.
Nose: Complex on the nose, with aromas of ripe black fruit, liquorice and balsamic touches that combine with hints of scrubland, liquorice and carob.
Taste: It is enveloping, powerful, noble, voluminous, silky with high persistence in its swallow, registering notes of coffee and tobacco that leave a sensation of elegant harmony on the palate.
