Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old is the ultimate essence of Veuve Clicquot's history, in a blend of its old reserve wines and a unique winemaking process. The House pays tribute to its heritage and writes a new page in its history with the launch of a new wine: Extra Brut Extra Old, a premium varietal with an exclusive blend born from its prized collection of reserve wines.
Composed of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier. Veuve Clicquot has one of the largest collections of reserve wines in Champagne, some of which are over 30 years old. They are preserved by terroir origin and by grape variety, allowing us to play with an immense palette of flavours and styles when blending non-vintage champagnes.
A new blend that testifies to the House's historical know-how. The 3rd Extra Brut Extra Old blend is composed of 8 selected vintages of the House's most prestigious old reserve wines: 1990, 1998, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2014. It undergoes a double ageing process, spending a minimum of 2 years in vats, and a minimum of 3 more years in the bottle.
