When the Tomatin Distillery was established in 1897, the original and idyllic setting of Tomatin was nearly perfect. However, there was no local workforce; the locals were scattered shepherds and farmers. The company started a construction project to accommodate its workforce. Since then, the distillery has been at the heart of the community and at the heart of the distillery. This legacy has continued and it remains one of the few distilleries that provides a home for its dedicated craftsmen.
