Santa Ema Winery presents Santa Ema Select Terroir Reserva Sauvignon Blanc White Wine from the Maipo Valley Designation of Origin (Chile), made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

Awards:

  • 90 points CAV Harvest 2021
  • 90 points The Tasting Panel Harvest 2021

The Santa Ema Select Terroir Reserva Sauvignon Blanc White Wine comes from the Maipo Valley, specifically from the Isla de Maipo region. The vines are located in the heart of the valley, very close to the banks of the Maipo River, where they receive the influence of their stony soil and the winds that come down from the Andes Mountains and those that come in from the Coast. This combination of climatic and geographical factors creates an ideal environment for the cultivation of the Sauvignon Blanc variety.

The 2022 harvest season was marked by a relatively dry winter, followed by a cold spring. Summer started off mild and ended hot, allowing the grapes, which were somewhat delayed in their ripening, to reach an optimal level of maturity, even advancing the harvest of the white grapes. Autumn remained dry and warm, helping to uniform the ripeness of the vines, resulting in a harvest at the usual dates. Although yields were slightly lower than expected, the final result was wines of excellent quality, aromatic, balanced, and with good acidity.

The Santa Ema Select Terroir Reserva Sauvignon Blanc White Wine is made through a process of pressing whole clusters and cold maceration of the grapes. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14°C for a period of 25 days. After fermentation, the wine is clarified, filtered, and bottled, ensuring that it retains all its freshness and fruity expression.

This wine presents a fresh and vibrant aromatic profile, with citrus and herbaceous notes characteristic of the Sauvignon Blanc variety. On the palate, it is balanced and refreshing, with a lively acidity that makes it ideal to pair with seafood, fish, and salads.

If you have any doubts when buying the Santa Ema Select Terroir Reserva Sauvignon Blanc White Wine, do not hesitate to contact the sommelier of our online store, who will advise you without obligation.
