The Nana Aged White Wine from Bodega y Viñedos Attis presents this white wine from the D.O. Rías Baixas, made from 100% Albariño grapes.
Without straying far from the myth that gives its name to this wine, it is indisputable that a mother always wants the best for her children. Nana (a naiad and mother of the demigod Attis in Greek and Phrygian mythology) selects some of the best vineyards belonging to the winery for careful production. A voluminous and complex wine, whose good acidity is maintained after fermentation and aging in oak barrels, resulting in a warm, friendly, and elegant sensation in the mouth.
Production: Manual harvest in perforated 15 kg boxes. Manual selection upon arrival at the winery. Complete destemming. Selection of free-run juice. Cold settling. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aging in barrels for 12 months with fine lees and batonnage. Clarification with isinglass. Tangential filtration.
Vineyard: The oldest in the family. Pergola-trained (traditional trellis). Granitic Entisols soils with sandy-clayey character. Northwest orientation. Organic cultivation.
From Val do Salnés, in the heart of Rías Baixas, Bodega Attis produces authentic, artisanal, and Atlantic wines.
Behind the brand lies the winemaking project of the Fariña brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero, who, alongside Jean François Hebrard, are committed to making different wines, paying attention to their variety, vineyard, or production, highlighting every nuance and aroma that the climate (humid and mild temperatures), terroir (predominantly granitic), and, of course, the Atlantic (high salinity of the wines) give them.
Respecting the unique characteristics of the native grape varieties used, Attis' identity is honestly reflected in each of its wines: an identity in which tradition, effort, patience, and the inherited know-how of previous generations are the foundation.
