The yellowfin tuna, also known as light tuna, is a type of tuna that inhabits the open waters of tropical and subtropical seas, especially the warmer waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Those that fill these cans have been caught using purse seines or lift nets, a technique that results in few accidental catches. This species, which feeds on small fish, crustaceans and squid, has the peculiarity of having the second dorsal fin and anal fin of greater length than all other tunas.
