If you have ever wondered why the same coffee can taste so different depending on how you prepare it, this workshop is for you.
In our Filter Coffee Workshop, we explore the world of specialty coffee from a practical and sensory perspective. You will learn to identify the unique characteristics of different origins and processes, understand how the grinder and grinding process influence the cup, and master key preparation variables such as temperature, ratio, pours, and agitation. We will compare live three filter methods: V60, Orea, and Aeropress, analyzing how each one affects the flavor profile.

1. Introduction to specialty coffee and characteristics of filter coffee.
2. Explanation of different origins/processes and how they affect preparation.
3. Grinders and different grind sizes according to the method.
4. Method Variables (Temperature, ratio, pours, and agitation)
5. Coffee tasting with different waters.
6. Preparation of 3 filter methods and comparison between them.
7. Measurement of results and analysis.
The equipment used for the course includes:
- Filter methods: V60, Kalita, Orea, Aeropress. Mahlkonig grinder (EK 43) and Comandante C40.
Professional barista utensils: Kettles, jugs, cloths, scales, etc.
A workshop designed for both beginners and those who already prepare coffee at home and want to refine their technique and expand their palate.
