Williams & Humbert Wineries, presents us with the brandy Crema de Alba, originating from Jerez (Spain).
Crema de Alba Brandy is a spirit made from the distillation of white wines of the Airén and Palomino Fino varieties in copper stills. After distillation, the brandy undergoes an aging process in American and European oak barrels, where it acquires its characteristic flavor and color. During this aging process, the Crema de Alba brandy oxidizes and evaporates, giving it a unique aroma and taste. The end result is a smooth, silky, and slightly sweet drink, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and nuts.
William & Humbert Wineries is a winery in Jerez founded in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert. They began exporting their wines to England, becoming one of the main exporting wineries of Jerez wines. The winery has remained in the hands of the Williams family since its foundation, and is currently led by the fifth generation.
The winery uses traditional winemaking methods common in the production of Jerez wines, such as the solera and criadera system. Furthermore, they have innovated in the production of sweet wines, such as Pedro Ximénez, by freezing the grapes before pressing.
Another point of differentiation for this winery is its extensive underground cave system, which extends for more than 15 kilometers and provides optimal conditions for aging its wines.
The winery is also known for its spirits, such as the Gran Duque de Alba brandy and Rives gin, as well as its efforts in sustainability, including the implementation of solar energy and responsible waste management.
If you have any doubts when purchasing Crema de Alba, please contact the sommelier of our online store and they will advise you without obligation.
