The Anís Las Cadenas from Bodegas Navarras, presents this Anís of the finest palate.

Cultivation

Anís Las Cadenas has been made with the same recipe since 1.872. Awarded since its inception in the most prestigious tastings worldwide, masterfully combines different plants such as anise matalahúga. We get a round and balanced flavor with the perfect amount of sugar and alcohol. Its characteristic bottle is a model patented in 1920 by our great-grandfather.

Making

We start the process by mixing extra-fine sugar with water. Next, we add the alcohol in which we have previously diluted the essential oils of more than x different plants. The exact proportions of our recipe are only known to one person in each generation. We call it "The Secret Recipe". After filtering and bottling our Anis Las Cadenas we let it rest for a few months in bottle.

Conservation

Both before and once opened it is important to keep these two indications:

- Avoid getting light directly into the bottle

- Avoid high temperatures.

To serve:

AloneTraditionally this is how anise has been served and consumed. To taste it in all its fullness it should be taken at room temperature, as long as this does not exceed 20-25 ºC. It is served in an aniseed glass with a wide base.

Ice Known colloquially as "Palomita", this is another traditional way of serving it. The effect of the ice on the aniseed produces a crystallization of the essential oils, changing the color from transparent to cream-blue. Logically the ice lowers the alcohol content of the drink.

Combined In Great Britain people usually drink it in mixed drinks with ice and Coca Cola, it is called "Sweet Licorice" because of its flavor similar to black licorice. Other common forms is with lemon or pineapple.
