The bimi, also known as broccolini or Baby Broccoli, is a cruciferous vegetable originally from Japan.
It is a hybrid food, created by mixing broccoli, to which it is quite similar, and a variety of oriental cabbage.
This makes bimi a food with very particular properties and high levels of nutrients.
Bimi is richer than broccoli, Chinese cabbage, and other vegetables such as asparagus and spinach, in vitamin C, vitamin D, folic acid, calcium, iron, fiber, zinc, and magnesium.
These properties make many consider it a 'super vegetable' and even a superfood, as this wealth of nutrients means that its regular consumption has numerous benefits.
