Blackberries are a small-sized berry formed by small drupes of a dark purple almost black shade. It is delicious if consumed fresh and is sweeter than other berries.

Like almost all berries and forest fruits, blackberries are loaded with antioxidants. Their high amount of pigments indicates that they are full of anthocyanins and carotenoids that fight free radicals.

This red fruit is also anti-inflammatory, strengthens the immune system, contains fiber, vitamin C, vitamin E, and a large amount of potassium, iron, and calcium.
