Fernando de Castilla brandies come from selected distillates of white wines that, after many years of aging in barrels previously used to produce Jerez wines, result in brandies of great personality and nobility. The winemakers have adopted for the aging of brandy the original and characteristic Jerez system of criaderas and soleras - already used in the aging of wines - which, combined with the previous seasoning of American oak casks, the unique characteristics and structures of the wineries, and the microclimate enjoyed by the area, form a set of unique factors that result in a unique product with its own personality and well-defined and original organoleptic qualities.
This is a selection of three brandies made from holandas de alquitaras, all of them between 12 and 20 years old, which have been previously aged in vintages and then through the criaderas and soleras system in oak casks seasoned with old olorosos and amontillados from Jerez.
