2017 was an exceptionally early vintage. The climatic vicissitudes were the most outstanding distinguishing feature of this vintage. Late frosts at the end of April made themselves felt significantly in several Castilian DOs. This year, it was the drought that set the pace in our vineyards: less than 250 mm of rainfall in Rueda and 300 mm in Toro. Direct consequence: a significant drop in the number of kg harvested and early ripening of the grapes
