The Capricho de Sousón Red Wine by Ponte da Boga, presents this Galician red wine from the Ribeira Sacra D.O. (Spain), made from 100%Sousón grape variety. Ribeira Sacra (Spain), made from the 100%Sousón grape variety.
Fresh, vibrant, powerful and elegant, this is our other whim: the Sousón. A singular single varietal wine born from our best plots to express all the personality of a variety that claims prominence.
UVA SOUSÓN: With a great polyphenolic potential, it provides dark and concentrated wines, with good acidity, in warm years it ripens well providing powerful, pleasant and personal wines. Its long cycle requires very low yields to achieve good ripening in Ribeira Sacra.
Grapes are destemmed and crushed, fermented for about 10 days with gentle pumping over, followed by maceration for about 8 to 10 days.
Following malolactic fermentation and aging for 10 months in second and third use French oak barrels.
