Soft cheese, similar to Camembert or brie.
Very creamy and melting soft cheese made with pasteurized cow's milk. Unpressed soft paste.
Handcrafted in eastern Asturias. This cheese is made in Alles, Peñamellera Alta.
Its paste is light yellow with small, slightly moist eyes.
Its rind is white with a velvety texture, due to the natural maturation of the cheese, by the mold that covers it.
Its aroma is pure with a mild hint of mushrooms, creamy and complex, with notes of fresh grass.
It weighs approximately 300 grams, and comes wrapped in thick paper.
Store in the cold between 3 and 6 degrees.
To enjoy its best flavor, take it out of the packaging and refrigerator a while before consuming it. The time needed to reach its optimal temperature is less than cheeses with more maturation.
Try it with crispy bread, fruits, and nuts. It is recommended to pair it with a Brut cider, or a natural Asturian cider.
