Cepa 21 is a single variety wine made from the Tinta Fina grape variety. The grapes are grown in soils belonging to the municipalities of Castrillo de Duero, Pesquera de Duero, and Nava de Duero, chosen for their edaphological affinity. The soils consist of alternating layers of limestone and clay with slight outcrops of alluvial and sedimentary pebbles. Its origin is documented in the Tertiary period, specifically during the Miocene.
Aged for 12 months in new American and French oak barrels.
Cepa 21 is ideal to accompany roasted pork, semi-cured cheeses, grilled red meats, roasted meats, meat rice dishes, cured meats, and roasted lamb.
It is recommended to consume at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
