The Chimay Roja has been brewed since 1948. The Chimay Red has been brewed since 1948 and is the oldest of their beers. In 1862, the monks of Chimay brewed their first beer following the monastic traditions of natural brewing and was the predecessor of the current one From the 75 cl format it is called Chimay Première for being the first of the current Chimay range.
