The Cockles from the Galician Rías (Celastoderma Edule) from the Noya estuary, characterized by its excellent sandy beaches, are selected and acquired directly from the Galician fish markets. They arrive at the factory alive and fresh, choosing the largest and highest quality product during the extraction season. These are purified with seawater, and once clean, they are packed in the can to enjoy a great seafood made only with raw materials, water, and salt, a completely natural product.

Braulio Alfageme Pernas belongs to a family linked to the world of fish preserves since 1873. His great-grandfather Bernardo Alfageme started the preserves business with the exchange of preserves for flour and textiles. At the end of the 19th century, he settled in Candas (Asturias) and in the early 20th century his son Hermenegildo moved to Vigo, a place that over the years became the company's headquarters.
