More information

Domaine Manuel Olivier Aloxe Corton is a red wine made with Pinot noir from the Burgundy appellation.

Its vineyards were planted in 1965 on calcareous clay soils. The vines face east-southeast at an altitude of 240 metres. The soils are ferruginous calcareous-clayey soils with a depth of 1 metre in some places. Maceration at low temperature for one week, natural yeast, the wine is kept in vats for 5 to 6 weeks at 30°C.

The wine spends 18 months in contact with the fine lees in oak barrels (30% new barrels, 30% barrels of 1 year old, 30% barrels of more than 3 years old). These barrels benefit from a 36-month drying process.

Corton is a vineyard and Grand Cru appellation shared between the three villages of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. The appellation covers the lower parts of the Corton hill.

Tasting notes of Domaine Manuel Olivier Aloxe Corton

Subtle nose of black fruits cooked in alcohol. Firm on the palate, with fine, dense tannins and a harmonious finish.
