Dogfish is a white fish, with hardly any fat (0.9 g of lipids per 100 g of edible portion) but is still a source of omega-3 fatty acids. At the same time, its protein is of high biological value.
The dogfish does not stand out from the rest of the fishing species for its minerals. It is only a source of phosphorus, one serving covers almost half of the recommended daily intake of this mineral for men and women between 20 and 39 years old who carry out moderate physical activity. Phosphorus contributes to the maintenance of bones and teeth in normal conditions.
Of the vitamin contents, vitamin B12, riboflavin and niacin stand out. These three vitamins contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
