An ancient tradition says that the harvest of this plant must be done very early in the morning on the day of San Juan.Frígola is the first drink made by the Mari Mayans Family, before the foundation of the first distillery in Formentera in 1880.
The aromatic plants are treated for the extraction of their aroma by distillation, maceration, and boiling methods. To the distillates, macerations, and infusions, natural syrup from sugarcane, ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, and demineralized water necessary to achieve the desired characteristics are added.
