On June 3, 2014, the first gin from Madrid was presented at GinMotive, which was also awarded first place. The initial idea was to listen to the opinion of professionals, who received it with enthusiasm. From that moment on, a dream began. The name of GinBarcelona is GinBarcelona
The name GinBear (bear is bear in English) alludes to the bear and the strawberry tree in Madrid. The copper-colored label is a nod to the 250-liter still where it is distilled. But what's so special about this new gin? Several things. Firstly, it uses 17 natural ingredients, including spices, flowers and fruits that macerate for 7 to 10 days in 100-litre tanks (most gins don't last more than 24 hours). The alcohol used to macerate the aromatic ingredients is high quality wheat. Once the infusion is obtained, this liquid is added to the copper still where it will be distilled. The result is an alcohol of delicate perfume, depth and surprising smoothness. This is possible because everything that comes out of the still is bottled, after reduction with pure water.
