Komasa Sakurajima Komikan Gin is a creation of Komasa Jyozo, a traditional alcoholic beverages producer founded in 1883 on the island of Kyushu. With their new line Komasa Gin, the brand has focused on regional botanicals such as green tea and Sakurajima komikan, the world's smallest mandarin, to offer new and unprecedented flavors that overflow with freshness.
Meticulously developed and blended by an expert team of artisans, two spectacular gins are obtained that are destined to become a myth. Each gin in the Komasa line is made with a crucial ingredient from Japan's legacy: the world's smallest mandarin, Sakurajima komikan, or green tea.
Made from locally distilled shochu as the alcoholic base, this atypical gin is composed of a bouquet of classic botanicals including juniper berries to which original ingredients such as Sakurajima Komikan, small Japanese mandarin, and coriander are added. All elements are infused independently from each other to extract the maximum of aromas.
Two unprecedented flavors that demand to be discovered. Komikan is a new and easy-to-drink interpretation of gin that will please a wide audience. A base of shochu and juniper berry alcohol, complemented with Sakurajima Komikan and cypress bark. Each ingredient is infused separately from the others to extract the maximum amount of aroma.
