Guímaro a Ponte is a red wine from Ribeira Sacra produced by Adegas Guímaro with Brancellao, Caíño Tinto, Mencía, Merenzao and Sousón.
The fermentation of the Guímaro A Ponte wine is carried out in closed truncated cone-shaped tanks with 100% stems. The fermentation process lasts around 50 days, from the beginning until the wine is extracted. After fermentation, the wine is bled by its own inertia and the pulp is gently pressed. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the barrel.
In appearance, Guimaro a Ponte has a deep, bright red colour, with violet highlights at the edges.
On the nose, it has a medium-high aromatic intensity, with notes of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, as well as hints of fresh herbs and a subtle smokiness.
On the palate, this wine is balanced and elegant, with well-integrated acidity and soft but present tannins. The fruit flavours are complemented by hints of spice and a mineral touch, leaving a lingering and pleasant finish.
