Alta Alella MIRGIN, Organic Reserve Cava

Love for organic cava

“Qualified Area Vallcirera”

The winery has recovered vineyards of over sixty years old and has planted traditional varieties such as Pansa Blanca and Mataró. All this without losing the commitment to quality and uniqueness, as evidenced by the recognition of one of its plots with the most premium category in the cava sector: “Qualified Area”, which means it is a unique product, the result of a special and specific place, a vineyard and a estate that, due to its location and terroir characteristics, stands out from the rest.

Integral Producer

In early 2022, the Família Pujol-Busquets received the Integral Producer quality seal from the Cava DO, which recognizes producers who make their wines 100% on the property -pressing and vinification-, guaranteeing product traceability.

Technical data:

Winery: Alta Alella (Barcelona)

DO Cava

Variety: Pansa blanca (Xarel.lo, Macabeu, and Parellada)

Alcohol content: 12% vol.

Aging: Minimum aging of 20 months in their underground cellars

Its bubble is fine and its pale yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it intertwines delicate notes of citrus (lemon peel and grapefruit) and aromas of tender almonds. Its palate is light and fresh, characterized by a clear memory of white fruit. Thanks to aging on lees, we perceive notes of pastry and salty bread dough. Well-integrated bubbles accentuate its delicate character and enhance its minerality (chalk and salt). Despite its prolonged aging, its character is quite fresh and comes dressed in several layers of fruit.
